Strange Scaffold and Frosty Pop just launched the beast-stuffing absurdity of Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking a month ago, and a new mode has already arrived. Today marks the launch of Endless Mode, available as a free update via Steam.
As its name suggests, Endless Mode plops players in random larder levels with the goal of surviving long enough to score as many points as possible. The more time you spend successfully avoiding monsters while catapulting food into the mouths of kaiju, the tougher the going gets.
For those just firing up the burners, here’s the launch trailer from last month:

In Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking, medieval monks are the last line of defense against the impending apocalypse. Up to four players can team up to tackle the game’s reality-skewing labyrinth, aiming to beat the clock in the process. All you have to do is avoid getting caught in those 10 minutes, and remember not to stay in the larder.
The multiplayer gameplay loop involves a tag-based cooking system that spans chopping, seasoning, roasting and, ultimately, vaulting the grub straight into the gaping maw of a colossal kaiju. The aforementioned time pressure goes out the window in Endless Mode in favor of… a totally different type of crushing pressure!
Co-op Kaiju Horror Cooking is currently $7.99 on Steam.
