Developer Strange Scaffold (El Paso, Elsewhere; I Am Your Beast) hasn’t pulled back when it comes to crafting interesting games you can’t play elsewhere. That certainly holds true for Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3, a game that combines match-3 tile puzzles with survival horror, role-playing and branching narrative choices. Now it has dates for two more platforms: Xbox Series X|S on September 17 and iOS on October 28.

Strange Scaffold first brought CRDM3 to Steam back in April. It currently sits at around 300 reviews netting a “very positive” distinction, so the oddball combo has definitely worked for a lot of people!
This genre stew tells the tale of J.J. Hardwell, who investigates strange dinosaur activity in a decrepit mansion and eventually learns they’re trapped in a video game. Billed as a sequel to a fictional game series, CRDM3 has its own dev lore, right down to the faux development team behind it, and uses its absurdity to comment on the nature of the industry itself.
