CASSETTE BOY is currently planned for release sometime this year, according to the Steam page. Its next stop is Tokyo Game Show 2025 at Chiba, Japan’s Makuhari Messe event hall from September 25 to 28, where it will be playable.
Features:
- Unseen = Uncertain.
In Cassette Boy, the “Schrödinger System” ensures that anything you can’t see simply doesn’t exist.
That person you just spoke to? The switch you were about to press? If they leave the screen, they’re gone.
- Rotation-Based Mechanics.
The game world is built in 3D, and you’ll rotate the map to change what’s visible. This changes the way puzzles are solved in ways you’ve never experienced.
- Perspective as Gameplay.
Your viewpoint isn’t just cosmetic—it’s a core mechanic. Ordinary camera movement becomes the key to solving mind-bending puzzles.
- A Retro Look with a Modern Twist.
It may look nostalgic, but everything about this game is brand new.
Cassette Boy offers a mysterious and unique experience unlike anything you’ve played before.
