Cute co-op survival is the name of the game in Wildekin, a new 3D pixel art adventure game from publisher Chucklefish and developer Cute Newt. This one tasks players with teaming up with friends to “build, explore, survive and thrive” in a charming but deceptively deadly world, and you can see its style in action in the debut trailer below.

Cute Newt’s adventure is currently in the works for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Steam and Microsoft Store) for release sometime in 2026. Folks who subscribe to Game Pass will also get to dig in as part of the service when it launches. 

As colorful as it may appear, monsters await in the wilderness of Wildekin. You’ll need to work together to build stores and homes, crafting gear along the way to help battle the threats that lurk outside of your bespoke sanctuary. If Animal Crossing let you fire arrows and hack away at monsters, it might look a little something like this.
